Thermostats for infrared heaters: Precise control & maximum efficiency

Without a thermostat, you're heating "blindly".

An infrared heater without a controller only has two states: on (100% power) or off. This is inefficient and uncomfortable. A room thermostat constantly measures the temperature and switches off the heating panel as soon as the target temperature (e.g., 21°C) is reached. If the temperature drops, it briefly reheats.

Legal notice: According to the EU Ecodesign Directive (Lot 20), space heaters must be equipped with a control system that offers functions such as "open window detection" or weekly programming. Our digital thermostats meet these standards.

Which thermostat is suitable for your room?

1. Socket thermostats (The simple solution)

Ideal for retrofitting or for mobile patio heaters .
Installation: Plug the thermostat into the socket, plug the heating plug into the thermostat – done.
Advantage: No electrician needed, ready for immediate use.

2. Wireless thermostats (The elegant solution)

Perfect for infrared heating panels on walls or ceilings. The system consists of two parts:
1. A small receiver that is (often invisibly) mounted between the power line and the heating system.
2. The transmitter (display) , which you can place freely in the room or stick to the wall.
Advantage: You measure the temperature where you are sitting (on the sofa), not where the radiator is. Plus, there are no visible cables.

3. Wired flush-mounted thermostats

The classic solution for new builds or renovations. The thermostat is permanently wired in the wall box.

Smart Home: Control your heating from the sofa

Many of our wireless systems (e.g., from Etherma or Elbo Therm ) can be integrated into your Wi-Fi network via a gateway. This allows you to conveniently control your heating system using a smartphone app – or even by voice command (Alexa/Google Home). Preheat the bathroom while you're still in bed, or lower the temperature in the office remotely if you forgot to turn it off.
