Why time control is so efficient
Infrared heating works very quickly. Therefore, unlike underfloor heating, it doesn't need to run for hours beforehand. Often, it's enough to switch the unit on 15 minutes before use. A timer will reliably do this for you.
- In the bathroom (B2C): Program the heating from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. You enter a warm bathroom, and when you leave for work, the heating is guaranteed to be off.
- In the office (B2B): Make sure that the heating is not running on weekends, even if an employee has forgotten to turn it off.
Which timer is the right one?
1. The digital timer (weekly program)
The versatile solution for everyday life. You can set different times for each day of the week (e.g., heating later on weekends). Ideal for living spaces and offices with fixed working hours.
2. The mechanical timer (daily program)
Simple, robust, and foolproof. You set the time period using small tabs. Perfect for applications that are repeated daily (e.g., building drying or simple frost protection intervals).
3. The countdown timer (short-term switch)
Especially popular for infrared heaters in restaurants or workshops.
Function: You press a button, the heater runs for a fixed time (e.g. 60 minutes) and then switches off automatically.
Advantage: Guests can request heat, but the host has the guarantee that the heater will not run dry at night.
Safety note: Maximum switching capacity
Not every timer switch from the hardware store can handle high-powered heating devices! Infrared heaters draw a lot of electricity (high amperage). For radiant heaters (often 2,000 watts and more), only use high-quality timers with a switching capacity of at least 3,500 watts (16A).
Cheap models can overheat under continuous use. Our models are tested and safe for use with infrared devices.
